Julia Schock says goodbye to the charismatic megafauna of the state on her last stop before she leaves Alaska. After a year spent counting moose and picking berries as a Park Ranger in Kotzebue, a friend convinced her to hold out for one last adventure by taking the ferry to Bellingham. She got lucky -- managed to squeeze in one last snowstorm, and a pair of malamutes. Alaskan malamutes, of course.
