Haines Assembly member Tom Morphet plays the trumpet to start the community's annual ski race across Chilkoot Lake. Morphet owned and published Haines' newspaper for 25 years before running for Assembly and selling the business.

Logan Evans is a commercial pilot from Sitka. He stands next to his plane after flying up Lynn Canal, the longest fjord in North America, known for icy winds and bumpy flights. Evans' company, Harris Air, started flying up the Canal earlier this year, challenging Alaska Sea Planes for their monopoly in the area.

Kyle Clayton, 33, is an army veteran, commercial fisherman, and the owner of the Chilkat Valley News. Originally from Indiana, he moved to Haines last summer to write, publish, and run the weekly paper which covers Haines and Klukwan.

Paul Wheeler and Jeanne Kitayama have own and operated the Haines Brewing Company for the last 19 years. They dressed in hops last Halloween.
